High Tea

It was precisely 11:55 in the morning and the sun was shining. The sky shimmered and the fresh grass waved with a light breeze that blew through the meadow where three Pokemon were walking. One opened a large wicker hamper while the others unfurled a long checked blanket. Then, the three acquaintances began to chatter and pull the edibles from the hamper. There was scones with jars of clotted cream and butter, tins of biscuits, a platter of egg salad sandwhiches, a pretty china teapot and flasks of tea and cups, silver cutlery and plates as well as ginger beer and lemonade. The last thing to be unveiled from the hamper was a grand, ginger fruit cake, adorned with icing. The Pokemon sat down carefully and admired the spread before them.
"Goodness!" Smiled Miss Trevus, a rich woman who was married to a fine prince and loved jewellery. "What a marvellous high tea."
Lord Magmier nodded stiffly in agreement.
"Of course, nothing less for...the upper class!" He straighted his bowtie and at once began to pour himself some tea.
"I'll say," Lady Diskette chirped, a dainty lady who thought of nothing except her hair, money look or latest fashions.
"Now, lets tuck in!" Miss Trevus cut the Lady a thick wedge of cake, then heavily buttered a scone for herself. The Pokemon were all part of a high class, private society that no one really knew much of-some Pokemon even believed the society had only been created so the three could enjoy expensive get togethers.
"So," Magmier began, sipping his tea. "Did you hear about Sir Fig?"
"No! What happened?" Asked Diskette at once, as she was very fond of gossip.
"Well, he got himself into a spot of bother yesterday. He was accused of fraud, I'll have you know!"
"Fraud?!" Trevus gasped, almost dropping her scone.
"Well I never," Diskette said, "But why?"
"It's about his ex-wife." Tne Lord said, lowering his voice.
"Go on-do tell us more!" Whispered Trevus eagerly, wiping some crumbs from her mouth with a white napkin.
"He gave her half the estate when they divorced-but somehow managed to forge the documents and kept the estate for himself...!"
And that's how the rest of the afternoon went, the three society members laughing and gasping, while gobbling down the impressive range of snacks. Soon however, the sun began to lower in the sky and they no one felt they could eat a crumb more-which was jolly well, seeing as there was none left anyway!
"Do lets pack up now," Lord Magmier yawned, "It's getting rather late and I have an important meeting to attend to." So, they packed up and began to re-fill the hamper with dirty plates and empty tins, before heading down the flowery meadow and back to where they lived.
"I say! It's been rather fun today." Miss Trevus laughed.
"Yes-really, we ought to do this more often!" Lady Diskette smiled. What a day it had been!

I actually drew this ages ago but just forgot to upload it ...just another experiment with Corel Painter. I love these three Pokemon so decided to draw a picture of them! The writing was quite fun, I tried to make it in a similar old fashioned way to how writers like Enid Blyton write. Please correct me if there is any mistakes!
